Experience Level

EDUCAD advises that you ensure your Experience Level of IntelliCAD 98 is set to Advanced. This is because any other setting will eliminate certain commands off the Toolbars & out of Menus. To do this:

  1. Go to Tools menu - Options
  2. Select "Experience Level" to be Advanced (Intermediate or Beginners may be shown)
  3. Select OK and if you have changed the setting several new icons may appear on the Toolbars.

AUTOSAVE (Thanks to Blair for the question)

If anyone was wondering what happens with AutoSave when you are working on 2 or more drawings at the same time, relax! Every drawing that is open in IntelliCAD 98 will be AutoSaved with the same file name but an .SV$ extension in the folder that the current drawing is stored (much like the backup file which is created whenever you save your own drawing!)

Keeping The "Properties" Dialogue Box On Screen

Once you have activated the Layer or Linetype Properties box in the Drawing Explorer, you may like to change the properties of several entities whilst you are there. Use the "pushpin" to "hold" you in the dialogue box to make several changes to different entities by selecting on them but still leaving this Properties Dialogue box on the screen.(as shown adjacent upper left corner)
